Wow, what a busy busy day at my eljay it's been. I'm in a right bitchy mood today, so may I just say that if you feel the need to bitch about me, don't do it your flocked journal, that's just silly, do it HERE! I want to share in the hate.

Some bitchworthy opinions I have:
1) I think John Barrowman is obnoxious. I don't hate the guy, I don't really actually have an opinion on him one way or the other, but if I had to veer in a certain direction, obnoxious would be that direction.
2) Gareth David-Lloyd, in season two of Torchwood, was a chubster. Chinless, beergutty tubbyboy. He's looking better now and even in season two of Torchwood I'd have fucked him silly, but yeah, he was a fatty.
3) Freema's a shit actress. I got defriended over that one. Any other takers?

I actually rather agree about JB's obnoxiousness. Of course he still cracks my shit up most of the time but I think he's just a tad too confident, really, because I get the sense that he never really stops to think that maybe he actually is not the most amazing, fantastic person that the world has ever spawned. Confidence is good but not if it makes you convinced that you don't actually have to improve your acting.

Must admit I don't care much for Freema either, even though she's absolutely all over my favourite series of Who. I especially don't think she suits the tone of Torchwood.

1/ JB - I don't think he's remotely obnoxious but, having met him twice, I can easily see why a hatchet may look rather shiny. Is he loud and crude? Yeah, on occasion but I don't really get premeditation or malice from him. And, as Dion Fortune once said, I can forgive a lot to a character.

2/ GDL. Pork pies and beer. Yes. Duh. Lots of body image issue projection going on in this fandom. And a lot of others, both issues and fandoms.

3? Freema. Honestly, I never noticed her as an actress but, then again, I can't honestly say that I watch DW or TW for the acting.

Personal issues with you? I have on occasion wanted to tell you to shut up re: rants about US politics but, as was said back in the early days of my country, "we must all hang together or we shall most assuredly hang separately." Look at global markets to see the truth of that - we all get a say as everything affects us all now.

Short answer? Everybody lighten the fuck up.

1) He can be. That's part of why he's so funny to watch in con vids. If you're going to do fan service, why go half-way?

2) Yup. My favorite Hub Con quote is still Gareth saying: "Little pickers wear big knickers." I think he is well aware of his changing status (and what to do about it, if he so chooses).

3) Meh. DW and TW don't seem to lean too hard on stellar acting skills. (With notable exceptions, like GDL and CE, imo.)

I've no thoughts on 1 and 2, but I don't watch DW and TW for the actors or the acting. Sad as it is to say, the gleefandom over the ridiculous but oh-so-fantastic stories keep me watching...It's hilarious and science-fiction, a marvelous combination for TV, I think.

My you have had some feisty threads the past couple days. I started reading you back in September because you were posting information on the filming of Torchwood, series 3. I keep coming back because I enjoy your spirit and topics. I am a tencrush fan, no matter what anyone may say about your comments.

I am a John Barrowman fan. I will follow him forever. I saw some of the Youtube videos of the Hub and was laughing during most of it. I am a fan, no matter what anyone may say about him. I'm like lalalala I don't care I love him. Hah!

I believe that GDL shows his weight in his face. Yes, he has looked heavy. Sometimes, in one show, he can look like he has multiple chins, as well as look slender. I really don't get it. I like the character tho'. I really enjoy Ianto's lines. And he is so OC. He's adorable. GDL I like. However, if it is true about his drinking (now I do not know if it is or not it could just be random commenting that has gone too far) I worry about the future of him in his craft. Time will tell.

I just needed to jump in here to compliment you for your board, as well as show my support to the show and actors. Keep doing what you do tencrush. Thank you.

1. He is. He was great fun at the Hub but not someone I would go out of my way to see sans GDL at the same event.
2. He gains all his weight in his face, I swear to god. Even now he has a bit of a headneck which is bizarre since I could wrap my arms around his waist twice, little belly and all. (no, really, I could, I have a photo to prove it although I won't be sharing it because I am a fattyx11110000000 next to him)

1) I don't really have an opinion one way or another actually.
2) Yes he was chubby, but it's also when I actually noticed he was hot instead of just standing there. (Side note, I don't find DT hot at all, too skinny)

I have come to realise that it's Capt. Jack, and not John Barrowman, that I find attractive. And not even Torchwood Jack - Who Jack. Every time I've seen JB do something where he's not been given a script, I cringe and wince and turn it off...not sure about "obnoxious" but definitely, that guy needs to be told what to say (or he'll come out with tricolon...)

I'm completely obsessed with the Barrowman. How dare you say mean things about him? He is perfect! Okay, so he's way over the top sometimes. I've been embarrassed for him (how empathetic am I?) a couple of times. The dropping of the trousers? Not so cool. Unless I'm around. Then, by all mean, let him drop trou. Ahem. His husband needs to tell him to chill the fuck out.

Yeah, GDL was puffy. He's not any more, and he's looking rather hot. But like someone I can't be bothered to quote said already, I worry about the boy. He drinks too much, he smokes too much, he's crude, etc.... Despite it all, I agree with your "fuck(ed) him silly" remark. Despite my OMG-I-could-ALMOST-be-his-mother age.
