If I were to say that the Buzzcocks Doctor Who special, and Tennant in particular, made me cringe with its unfunniness, that would make me a bitter, whiny bitch, right? I'll shut up, then.
Cribbins kicked ass. The 'written' stuff they gave Tennant to say was hideous; he even acknowledged at one point that Cribbins' riffing was putting his lines to shame.
And I'd rather have heard him finish the whole 'Right Said Fred' song than sit through that weird-ass 'guess the ex-musician' segment.
They shouldn't have given Tennant anything scripted and let the whole thing just decay into weirdness, that would have been funny. Actually, they probably should have just let Cribbins present it.
