My guess? I think the production values on this film are SO LOW that nobody involved actually cares or even notices that you've got a highly visible packet of Marlboro in your pocket during filming.

It's just occurred to me that this could be an actual still and not a between-takes photo. In which Holmes and Watson take a brief refreshing country walk and share a filter-tipped fag. I wouldn't actually put it past this film to have Watson smoking filter-tipped fags. But dudes, that guy from Enterprise is in it! Somewhere.

(Snakes on a Train was on Zone Horror or somewhere like that the other day and I missed it. So gutted.)

Looking at this picture, I have to just acknowledge to myself that GDL is destined to be a fat guy. He can fight it, but once he gets married, even the thinner phases will disappear. He's gonna be a fat guy and a fat character actor who never gets the lead role.

The costuming on this just bites - NOT a single costume fits any of the actors in any of those stills. And Steampunk/bronze cybermen? oooookay, then.

I think I can see a cigarette in Gareth's hand, so it could well be a photo that was taken in-between shoots. There's another photo from this film somewhere, where a guy with red headphones on is hanging around in the background, as if he's one of the film crew. I'm pretty sure they didn't have headphones back in Victorian times.

The guy playing Holmes looks a bit thin in that pic and apparently he's "local" which explains why nobody knows who he is.

Gareth isn't THAT over-weight. I think he looks good in the photo of Watson on his own. It might be the curly hair combined with his eyes.

I am amazed that Gareth gets top billing in the film on the Asylum site; perhaps someone *is* actually looking after his career. Honestly, after the publicity from CoE, one would think this guy would be guesting on every series possible and being looked at for a lead on something sci-fi-ish where we could all go to imagine him bumping into Captain Jack Harkness on an episode. (And don't think that whore John Barrowman wouldn't TOTALLY be up for that).
