Tiny random picspam with no real point...

OKAY... Before I go on picspamming Days One to Three, here's another collection of randomness, entitled I was searching my hard drive and all I found were these lousy pictures of Ianto Jones. Funny thing about this random collection of pics is that I was indeed searching my hard drive, for a picture. Of Ianto Jones. Which I didn't actually manage to find. I did find this shizzle (they're small and friendly, I made them that way):

Why did I never write INCREDIBLY LONG NINJA-RELATED META about this scene? I don't know. Perhaps I should have done. OH WELL HE'S DEAD NOW SO I MAY AS WELL SHUT UP, EH?

I have no words for this one at all. My knickers do, but I can't repeat those here.

Sometimes Ianto does this face that looks like he's smelling a fart. This is one of those times.

AGAIN, why did I not write tediously long analysis of both the literal and figurative meanings of the hockey stick in terms of Jack, Ianto, their relationship and indeed their penii? I DON'T KNOW, I NEVER GOT ROUND TO IT AND NOW HE'S DEAD, GODDAMMIT.

I just like this one. It's one of those GQ MOFO shots. Tasty.

I had this picture on my hard drive because I once proved unequivocally that this is Jack's office by comparing and contrasting various bits of furniture and lighting. I actually like this picture because this scene was my own personal first inkling that there was shit going on with Ianto that would soon prove to be interesting. (It's a cheap shot, of course, there's a lot of cheap and nasty writing in Torchwood, and given what we knew at the time, Tosh should have been the one hacking into Gwen's computer, and it was obviously Ianto in this scene solely to set up the idea that Ianto did shit after hours in the Hub, directly foreshadowing Cyberwoman, but also at the same time kind of making Tosh look redundant. Tosh got a bad deal as a character for beginning to end, she really did. Bah.)

Is that a big fuck off gun in your pocket or...?

While I'm on the subject of things I found on my hard drive, can anyone tell me who made this macro?





It still makes me laugh every time I see it.
(Actually, the more I look at it, the more I think I might have made it MYSELF. Which makes the thing about it still making me laugh kind of pathetic and sad. But I KNOW I didn't have the picture, because it's from the S1 dvd, and I'm pretty sure the wording isn't mine either, though the actual putting-the-wording-on-the-pic might be because I had this on my desktop for a while. Somebody tell me, please.)

What this picspam made me think of - yet again - was this, am I the only person who cannot make the mental leap between this gorgeous young man, and grunge-artist-extraordinaire GDL?
I'm sure GDL is a lovely, entertaining person but I have no desire to meet him.
Ianto, on the other hand. Well, I would gladly round up and donate those 10% of children to the 4-5-6 for time alone with him. And his suit.

That's exactly what my insignificant other said *boxes ears*
...Don't get me wrong, I love GDL! He's talented, beautiful and gracious but it was Ianto, the character he portrayed so perfectly, that made me a die-hard fan of TW. Ianto's complete persona: wit, frailities, flaws and all, upped a good show to a bloody fantastic show.
As I've probably stated on other posts, while I love the J/I fanfiction, audioplays, TW novels etc., it was the incredible visual body chemistry between JB's "Jack" and GDL's "Ianto" that captured my attention. The two balanced and complemented each other superbly... and that's even with the sometimes cheesy dialogue.
Ianto's character gave us a better Jack and GDL's talent made JB a better actor... so subtly symbiotic
This perhaps is what I'm going to miss the most... *sigh*

The show holds little appeal for me now without Ianto and all his wonderful witty, fussy OCD-ness. I will more than likely be avoiding a S4... I don't want to turn my back on TW but I feel that the TW "Powers that Be" have turned their backs on the fans...there you have it RTD, Sorted.
I feel so depressed and betrayed... I want Ianto back in TW but more than that I want him remembered... not treated like some inconsequential rubbish that RTD can sweep out the door and forget.... Both the character and the actor are deserving of so much more respect.
