Well, yes. I'm not really sure about the "Ianto is in love with Jack" concept that seem to have spread among the writers/fans recently.

Especially when they still don't make clear Jack's take on this thing.

I'm still baffled that Ianto went from straight to gay with no apparent reason other than the one that Jack is irresistible :D

That much is true, yes. I just don't like the direction the acting's going in and given what I know about how Gareth works, I'm assuming he has a reason to be acting this way, and that reason lies somewhere in series 3. If series three actually shows us Ianto being this clingy and lovey-dovey towards Jack's strong masculine silent type, I'm going to be very displeased.

When I look at that picture I feel embarrassed...for them and me and all of us. What does this tell us about series 3 I wonder? It's not telling me that I'm going to like it. I first found your journal through being So Obsessed With Torchwood, but for me I think the moment has sort of passed now.

They both have basically the same expressions in this pose as they did in the last (that had Jack's hands on Ianto), but the way Ianto is curled around Jack in this one does make it look like he's about to be shrugged off. It'll definitely increase the number of wet!bitch!Ianto fics produced.

Let's concentrate on the gunslinger!Ianto photo instead. He may look just as put out, but cold steel and a casual pose is somehow more comforting to me than this.

I like the photos! I vaguely see your point, but it doesn't bother me at all. I think the amazing gun photo outweighs any clingy vibe in any case. I'm more concerned that they look so anguished in all of them. THAT's what makes me think Ianto might be dead, whereas I didn't think so before. Also the article says S3 was filmed so it COULD be "the end".
