Finally sporked a Torchwood fic I'd been meaning to spork for about two months now over on
badfic_quotes. Again, this is why I normally don't read fic. I just can't take the badfic, no matter how good the goodfic may be.

Date: 2008-10-07 03:36 pm (UTC)Sue!fic, how you make my headache come back with an impressive strength *sighs* Cause you're right, it's the quantity (let alone quality) of fic like this one out there that DOES deter people from reading the stories that really ARE good and.. that's really too bad.

Date: 2008-10-23 08:22 am (UTC)I think part of it is - and this is also part of why I started reading slash - people who have to actually plot out ways to bring their characters together are usually the ones who write fic worth reading. If a pairing is already there, there's no work involved in writing about them. (That's not always the case - I love gen fic in fandoms - but most of the time it is!)
