Now that we've all calmed down a bit, it's time for some science. I have put together a wee poll to find out what is going on in ALL YOUR PRETTY LITTLE HEADS. There have been many things we haven't been told about Jack and Ianto, most of us have filled in the blanks with out own personal fanon, and I'd like to know what, on the whole, that fanon comprises. Re: monogamous, I think they've Had The Chat and they're currently effectively monogamous, but what's actually going on is that Jack has agreed not to look for other partners for the moment while Ianto tries to get more comfortable with the idea of poly. The whole "Gwen threesome nao? LOL!" bit in Adrift comes into this in ways I haven't quite worked out.

I saw it as a joke too. Jack has always wanted Gwen to keep her 'normal' life with Rhys. I don't think Rhys would be happy if she slept with both her co-workers (maybe if he got to join). Plus, Ianto smacked Owen down when he suggested the team-orgy (just when I thought the end of the world couldn't get any worse); so why would he smile (he cheats, he always cheats) if he thought Jack was serious.

I think a Rhys/Gwen/Jack/Ianto foursome is actually more likely than a Ianto/Jack/John....why? Because it doesn't seem like Ianto *likes* John, and he doesn't even trust him as far as he can throw him. Maybe for one kinky night, but....yeah, I actually don't see it.

But the foursome I can see happening sort of as a comfort thing, at least short term. I think everybody needs everybody right now.

Oh definitely. It would probably be Gwen....let's see give it a test run right now....

Gwen giggled slightly as she ran her fingers over Ianto's chest, gently tangling them in the surprisingly soft hairs. "Rhys," she said conspiratorially, "he's fuzzier than you are..."

"He is, isn't he?" Rhys murmured in ascent, reaching over to lace his fingers with hers, joining in the petting. "Threw me off at first, you don't look like you would be a furry-chested bloke. But now it seems rather appropriate."

Ianto, enjoying the caresses for more than one reason, gave a casual shrug. "Jack's put off by it."

Gwen turned her head to give the man spooning her a disapproving look. "Jack!"

"Now, hold on a sec - ," came the defensive tone.

Rhys was quickly morphing into his ranting face. "Oh, so green skin and tentacles is all right, but a little bit of fuzz on the front just crosses a line?"

"First of all, it was blue skin, second of all, I never said it 'put me off'!"

Ianto, milking it for all it was worth, added helpfully, "You 'suggested' I get it waxed."

"Ah, come on, now - "

A very disgruntled Welshman now sat up to better glower at the American. "So much for being 'open-minded' and 'modern'! You've got some nerve - "

" - Tone it down a bit, Rhys," Gwen interjected. She again turned to her employer and chided softly, "Really, Jack. You wanted to get rid of this lovely stuff?" To emphasize the point, she broadly stroked over Ianto's chest, curling a few hairs around her index finger.

Jack pouted. "If you're all gonna gang up on me, I'm leaving."
