• That was, as I predicted, sucktacular. Slightly TOO MANY ideas crammed into one episode to make us actually care about any of them. Even Ianto. And that's saying something for me, let's face it. I've only seen it the once, why was Adam actually there? Something about Jack's big sexy brain? I don't know, nor do I care.


• I'm getting to the point where I'm thinking they really shouldn't let Barrowman on the screen anymore. And I'm therefore now actively shipping Ianto/AnyonebutJack. BAD ACTORRRR! They need to sort JB out, or alternatively not ever give him any scenes anymore in which he interacts on an emotional level with anyone else, because they're guaranteed to show him up, skillzwise, whether it be Gareth or Eve or indeed Bryan Dick. I did not care about Jack's backstory, he did not make me care, it was some sort of invasion on Tatooine or something in which the boy who shall in our household from now on be referred to as "the New Romantic child stalking Jack" died. Or maybe he didn't. *handwaves* Oh, it was something to do with the season finale, maybe we'll start to care about it then.


• Don't be creepy, Ianto, it gives me nightmares and they're kind of happy nightmares that make me a bit moist and that worries me, so just stop being creepy, KTHNX.


• I forgot there ALWAYS HAS TO BE ONE WHERE IANTO CRIES A LOT in every season. It's a bit weirder when it's S2 Ianto with the sarcasm and the not very well hidden buttseks, though. But yes, raise your glasses everyone, it's the tummyrats again.


• Burn totally ruled this episode, I must say. He's (finally) growing on me.


• Diary. Bless. Tape measure. Stuff. Hooray.

• That's more like it. Martha the l33t doctor! And she's going out with Tom, we totally called it! I didn't quite understand her interactions with Owen much, she seemed to be deliberately trying to make him look bad in their first scene, which I thought was a bit OOC for her, really. But I'm hugely relieved they don't have UST or anything.


• This episode had everything a Torchwood episode should have, an evil baddie, countless pointless aliens, completely unnecessary and cracktastic technology... bliss.


• Did I mention Martha rocked? The way she interacted with everyone, she fit right in and managed to get on with everyone on their level, it was really quite good.


• *drums fingers* It's been hours and I still haven't seen any Jack/Ianto/Unithat fic appearing on my flist. You people disappoint me, really.


• "We dabble." Yes indeed, you do. This OTP is SO going to be over soon, mark my words, they are NOT moving in together, people. They dabble. Innovative, bordering on the avant-garde, but dabbling nonetheless. In fact this episode kind of reinforced my personal belief that Ianto sees himself, if you were to flat out ask him, as mostly straight. Up for anything, but at the end of the day in the True Love Forever sense, heterosexual. I STILL have the nagging feeling he has some weirdy sekrit reason for shagging Jack in the first place, but I reckon it's not actually going there. This makes me sad, but oh well.


• Owen? Is that you? You're being nice? Willing to give Tosh a chance on the dating front, oh my. And it totally didn't strike me as odd that he would do so, either, it just seemed like a natural progression of his nicer side coming out. But dating Tosh, of course, equals death. You forgot about that bit. Bring on the Weevil King thing, hooray!


• Was there plot? This is like the fourth episode in a row where I completely failed to notice.


• ETA: I almost forgot!! YES!! Corpse driving a car. ALWAYS HILARIOUS. I was hoping they were going to make him do a little wave. Boo.
