Yeah, so I'm developing this Thing for Ianto, for those wo hadn't noticed (NO RLY? ARE YOU?). I've been reading some reactions to They Keep Killing Suzie, and I'd like to know...


I'm sorry, but am I the only one who actually finds it more likely that Ianto would indulge in some stopwatch-related sexgames with Jack, given his state of mind??? You know, the rats thing and that. Everyone seems to think his emotional state is incongruous with a bit of no strings bumfun, and is shouting loudly about continuity of character and such. Whereas I can think of many reasons why his depression would actually be a major factor in the whys and wherefores of the boyslash. No? Just me?

I am going to do one of those lust list things soon, when I can find 10 slebs I lust after. (OMG there are not 10 people, srsly, what's wrong with me?) There is, however, one more than there was yesterday. Good for me.

I don't know anymore. But there's definitely something about it that makes sense in my head. (There is also something that doesn't, but I'm not quite sure what that is either)

I think part of the problem is that I can't picture Jack going along with it - I know, I know he's our intergalactic space slut but I do think he has a wee bit of common sense. So I can't make that half work, and I can't make Ianto's half work either. Not just because of the depression (partly because it seems to be even more than that) but because it's Jack, who just killed his girlfriend less than three months ago. All of that combined makes the idea of random stopwatch boysex seem incredibly weird. I think you could still make Jack/Ianto work, but I wish they'd tried a wee bit harder than they did.

...sorry, it's still bothering me this morning, clearly.

I can understand your point, but there's something about it that actually makes more sense to me than if he were happy.

Jack, yeah, I'm not so sure, but he was suddenly being all slutty throughout the entire episode and that was a bit of a con, really, because he hasn't been so far, they've left that a bit late.

I am conflicted. I shall try and construct an informed and coherent opinion about it tomorrow.
