In order to achieve a 1940's handpainted vibe, I am painting it by hand. I often fancy myself having the l33t skillz of a 1940's signpainter. Time will tell if this is just hilarious hubris on my part.

It's Beckett's, though I've warned him if he FUCKS IT UP, I am hanging it on the wall. Nah, this is just a first coat of the two colours that didn't touch. I've just finished the first coat of blue, just the white stripes to go, then a second coat. I think I may steal it from him, it's rather beautiful if I do say so myself.

Did you freehand those stripes or tape them?

Everything freehand. I'm getting shaky, though, I don't have as steady a hand as I used to, runs in the family.

The kids are home on holiday, so I'm a bit randomly online atm, it's noon and they've already watched Cap1 and Avengers. D says a Winter Soldier rip showed up this morning, so that's the rest of their viewing week taken care of as well.
