They can cover tattoos pretty well with makeup nowadays, I bet they wouldn't waste that money on CGI when they didn't have to, especially with everything they WERE wasting it on And I'm pretty sure I didn't see any tattoos in the BTS "before" scenes they showed of his raw shirtless footage.

The only thing is, at first glance, from far away, with the beard and the brown hair and the eyebrows he looks a little like Wil Wheaton. Okay, maybe like a cross between Wil Wheaton and Christian Bale.

Haha, Wheaton! When he does that stress squint he does look like him a bit. His face does weird things sometimes. I've actually grown to quite love his slight open-mouthed, gormless Cap face, it's funny as fuck if you watch it for an entire film.
