Is anyone watching Pan Am? I have yet to decide what I think about it, I believe there may be slightly too much intrigue and backstory for me to cope with. In fact, I was considering giving up on it, but then there was Ted and it turned out that Ted will never be over Macho Grande and I laughed and laughed and laughed and laughed.

Nobody will get that refence, Whelk, give it up.

I think it's a bit superficial. I watch it for the pretty dresses.

It's weird in that it's kind of vapid and yet has way too much going on at the same time, I don't know how it manages that. We seem to be watching it mainly for the undergarments at the moment.

Hmm...if it's anything like Airplane! then I will tune in (actually, I should say Airplane 2, so maybe not ;) ). I figured it was just a Mad Men wannabe and passed on it.

Well, it wasn't anything like Airplane until Ted had flashbacks, but that was just me lolling forever because his name is Ted and he's a pilot and he's not over Macho Grande.

There's a bit too much This Is History, I think, I'm still not sure I can cope with it.

Only seen the pilot, I mean the first episode :-) so far.

I think it's probably one that I'll watch if I'm home in time, but I can't see myself adding it to the DVR.

I'm watching it and I enjoy it. I like the 60's setting and they seem to have a historical perspective. (like the French stewardess' memories of the war)

It's mostly about women, yet I'm finding it hard to find a female character I like and identify with, it's sort of missing that fierce Joan Holloway type for me. I think Christina Ricci is supposed to be the Joan in a bra-burning non-girdle wearing way, but she's not doing it for me at all, even though she's the reason I started watching.

I just deleted all the episodes off the PVR last night. Didn't hold my interest, which I was really hoping it would.
