MAY I JUST MENTION FRANKLIN AND BASH AGAIN. Malcolm McDowell is cracking me up.

THAT'S NOT WHAT THIS IS ABOUT, THIS IS ABOUT WAREHOUSE 13. Now, I hear that it's kind of like what a Torchwood spinoff show called "Ianto's Archiving Adventures" would be like if it were written by those people who wrote Torchwood before RTD remembered it existed and turned it into po-faced drama. Plus, there are ARTIFACTS in it that sound ALMOST AS HILARIOUS AS THE ONES FROM BONEKICKERS. As you can see, I'm sort of toying with the idea of making it My New Show. Except it's not actually on anywhere over here, but I could always aquire DVDs and such. Apart from that, of course, GDL's in this week's episode, in a suit, but I don't know how much I need to know about Warehouse 13 in order to be able to watch it (this is series 3, yeah?) So... a poll is in order, basically, I'd like to know if I should be watching this show, like, regularly, and not just for GDL's pouty mouth. TELL ME.

[Poll #1767021]

Please to be helping me make my decision.

I've never heard of Warehouse 13, except for in the past week or so with the trailers of GDL, but I think it sounds like a nice birthday treat for you!

You can never mention Franklin and Bash too much, you know. Love that show :D

It's exactly as cracky and fun as you think it will be. And it doesn't have a pterodactyl, but it has lots of steampunk stuff and also H.G. Wells. Who is a woman.

I've never seen this show either but I've been told that it's very much like early Torchwood, in terms of being about a small group of people who collect strange alien stuff in a slightly chessy not-too-serious way.

I mainlined the first two series and the two available online episodes like crack just like I did the first two series of Torchwood back in the days when it had a sense of humor to go with all the angst and pathos. Warehouse 13 is much less angsty, but there is mysterious backstory stuff instead.

I am biased.

(How lucky that GDL's ep is on your birthday!)

I've never seen it, but wherever GDL goes I will follow. Even though that means I followed him to "Red Faction", which I'm still trying to spit out.

I decided to give F&B a go after seeing you post about it. While I don't think it's ever going to be a must watch 'my show', it certainly passes the time quite amusingly.

Can't really help you on the Warehouse 13 front, the only ep I've seen was a Christmas ep - and Xmas eps of shows don't tend to be good representations of it. But given that GDL is going to appear in it, I'm definitely going to pick up the new season (hmm, maybe having to stay with my sister and her SkyBox for so long isn't such a bad thing after all!)

I watched most of the first season and enjoyed it. I'm definitely going to watch the GDL episode. It does have similarities to TW, but TW was much darker and funnier.

I misread Option 2 as 'GDL wearing a birthday suit'.

I am late to the party, having not been on LJ for a few weeks, but I sure did think of you when I watched Warehouse 13 the other night. Did you end up watching it? When I found out GDL was going to be on *sometime* (it was all very hush hush) I decided to just dive in and start watching. I agree with everyone who says it's a great cracky, fun, turn-off-your-brain kind of show. Plus it seems to exist in the same universe as Eureka, which I've also been watching. Anyway, GDL's part was pretty small, but yes he does survive and he wears Victorian period attire which is never a bad thing. And while I would certainly watch a spinoff with him and HG Wells, I'm not sure that such a show would fit into the timeline?
