FANGIRLING, just because I haven't done that in a while:

I don't know about the suit. I have yet to see it in action.



Ummm, it looks to me like a prototype suit as per the first Ten/Rose promo pics. The fabric looks off, as in it doesn't look like particularly suitable suit material (It's weirdly shiny, and there's no way even the BBC costume department who chose this ghastly colour would think that TV and shiny is a good combination). Plus it doesn't fit that well, particularly around the crotch area. And NO, I haven't been studying the crotch area no more than usual anyway, it's just pretty noticeable there that this is definitely not the definitive suit. I'm not sure on the breast pocket, but I think this fabric is adding bulk, again. I think they'll redo the whole suit in a more lightweight material and everything will be ok. Well, the breast pocket will be anyway. And hopefully the crotch.
But blue? It's not quite his colour, is it? But then the pictures are a bit off again, colourwise. So I don't really know. It's kind of romantically TARDIS coloured, like he's finally coming out about that relationship. Which makes me smile. I shall have to wait and see. There's something about the suit that I'm finding really hot, but I don't know what that is.

Oh yes, Martha. WHY HOOP EARRINGS? That's all I can say about the poor girl. Must we have more hoop earrings? Is this a New Who prerequisite now? And the jacket, well again, Rose could have worn it, and that bugs me. I'm not getting the medical student vibes I think I'm meant to be getting here. I hope the hair is for promotional purposes. When would she have the time?

ETA: I did obviously, get more than a picture of a suit. I got a PSP with which I can now browse the interweb downstairs. It's very shiny. The sooner they bring out a proper keyboard for it, though, the happier I'll be. Having said that, it's hella nifty.

You know, I think it's the shoulders that are putting me off? The chest area from the neck down looks really good, and then there are these huge, bulky, ill-fitting shoulders. Hmm.

I also am torn! Have gone from hate to want-to-draw-it in about an hour.

Yet another thing that's making me think it's a proto-suit. The shoulders are too wide. There's something about the whole top part of the jacket that's off. I don't quite understand, because it looks to be a reasonably similar suit to the brown one. But it's cut differently in places.

I get the feeling they're going to keep the shoulders wider than on the brown one. Oh, and I've worked out what's horny about the blue suit. The trousers are tighter. I hope they'll stay that way.

It's a long-standing policy not to ask how women manage to spend so much time in bathrooms. Martha appears to have a policy of believeing that the Doctor is a woman. Or she's just very comfortable with her own body. Either way, her policy conflicts somewhat with his.

This would be why he backs up a few steps to stare when he finds her attacking her hair with some sort of strange clampy thing while wearing a terrifyingly fluffy towel and singing quietly to herself.

A message from one part of his brain arrives at another and says You are staring at a mostly-naked woman. In many cultures, this is considered impolite. This is joined with worrying speed by a further thought which adds Yes, but doesn't she look nice?

Not so much... I just let my mind work in its natural direction. I don't have a big issue with the suit; I have trouble seeing what all the fuss is about. Because David Tennant's still in it.

It's linen, I think. Partly because I have that suit. It's odd, because it's a colour that I think works better with darker skin, personally. If they wanted a different suit, I think they would have been better off with a green linen, not just because Tennant would look pretty dapper in that, but because then he'd fit wonderfully in with the TARDIS console, and it would highlight their special togetherness and would be all great, and stuff.

And also, I don't own any green suits, because black people look silly in green, IMO.
