Does anyone know what happened to [livejournal.com profile] rivier? Was it something to do with PDFWank? Because lord knows it's made me want to delete myself out of existence to be associated with such an ill-conceived and poorly executed file of fangirly butthurt.

Maybe the whole thing was some sort of masterplan thought up by the whovian fannish elite to weed out those they perceive to be Torchwankers by heaping so much embarrassment squick upon them that they leave fandom forever rather than be tarnished with it? Maybe that was it?

I think it's worked. I was just about to post a load of shizzle about Torchwood, too, but I just can't be fucked anymore. Here, have Sue Sylvester.

Big Bang Theory's on tonight. Nothing can possibly go wrong.

Oh God...who were you thinking of replacing him with? Sue Sylevester, right? Please?

Make a Party Down layout! It made the AFI top 10 shows list, along with BBT and Glee. All the Paul Rudd and Jane Lynch you could ever want :)

I vote for Sue/ Jane or Kwipke. Moss seems a bit done. Not that I don't love Moss, but still.

OMG ICON!! HA and AHHHHHH at the same time. lol

Oh, I agree. I don't know. It just doesn't feel like the time for Moss. Maybe I just like the idea of going with dastardly characters.

Yeah, I love Kwipke. Some people need to take the stick out of their asses. He's hilarious. "I'll call you...Woxanne." Gets me every time!

Speaking of loving Kripke. John Ross Bowie, who plays Kripke said that if he could get up to 1,000 followers by the weekend he'd post the worst childhood picture he could find. Bill Prady (showrunner) re-tweeted it, so he got there pretty quickly. He bequeathed us this gem.

Moss, he's great. :)

And I don't know who the other characters are.

Sue Sylvester is from Glee. It's a good musical comedy with a few issues, but still better than most of the dreck out there. Worth us just for her character, really...and Kurt. Kurt is awesome.

Kripke (aka Kwipke) and Sheldon are from The Big Bang Theory. The best American comedy to hit the waves in ages. Missing this bit of awesome should be against the law. Seriously. Kripke is just a recurring character that started in the 2nd season, but Sheldon is the real highlight.

I was going back and reading, and I didn't realize how many Sheldon comments were peppered in the threads...

I've only seen the clip...I can't tell if it was good or not.I actually like Family Guy, so I don't know what it says about me. Maybe I'm too critical...or protective...or something.

I need to see the whole episode, if for no other reason than Hugh Laurie.

I definitely need to see this. Yeah, Penny cracked me up. Especially that they made her so top heavy. Kaley seems to have nice breasts, but that was a bit much.

I've seen it! OMG, SCOOBY DOO! hee. I'm such a dork, but I loved Scooby Doo growing up. I also loved that Hugh Laurie dropped the accent at the end.

The Big Bang subplot is so true, though. Almost every convert I know has that one friend or relative who forced them to sit and down and watch one episode, and then they were hooked. For a few, it was me.

I know, I was a bit sad seeing that they'd deleted themselves, especially as they'd talked so much sense.

Yet another nail in the coffin of Torchwood fandom - perhaps RTD and the BBC were just plain fed up of fanwank, and CoE was a masterplan to get rid of the whole thing? Now THAT's Machiavellian.

MMMM Sheldon...

Sorry, I meant Rivier, used the wrong pronoun. As I don't know Rivier's gender I stuck with "they". Dontcha just love English?

Does that mean my pronouns are hawt? Does my pronoun usage make me sexi? LOL

I work in an organisation that's culturally diverse so you can't guess someone's gender from their name. You get well used to a non-gender specific pronoun.

Maybe something in the water.

Please post the TW shizzle. My back is killing me and I need entertainment.

I second the motion. I'm not ready to lose your TW shizzle. Your shizzle is sexy!awesome. It's one of the few things that makes this poor, wanked-out fandom bearable.

I did see a post from her about someone haunting her journal several times a day - possibly to do with the anon wanking? Perhaps she decided to step away for a bit.

I don't know what anyone is talking about. I see CoE references all over my flist and I assume they are talking about Church of England. Ianto is alive and well. Some fans go crazy, the rest of us (probably just me) never watched....

Seriously though, it sounds like they're getting a bit carried on. Eh...

Let's just listen to Sheldon...

... Dude... Gone, really?

Seriously, I just about gave up on the majority of TW fandom because of the giant flying bags of wank that made me dread scrolling through my flist everyday. The only tethers I had left was through the sanity of your journal and [livejournal.com profile] rivier so yeah.. that really sucks that there's gonna be a strikethrough line whenever her name is posted.

While I admire the dedication it takes to create that PDFwank that's happening, none the less it seems to be gutting fandom left and right. Which... seems to defeat the purpose of a fanDOM as a whole, no?

If I didn't still adore Ianto's naughty little face, I'd swap him out as my default icon :O

This fandom has stopped being fun for quite a while now. I'm very sorry that rivier deleted her journal, I hope it is not permanent and that you won't do anything similar.

Well, I think a fandom is dead, when all It has left is fighting among each other. Thankfully, I for one have a very selective perception but even I can barely find anything regarding TW that isn't off putting or annoying.

I'm so happy for TBBT that it is doing so great in the ratings. At least Sheldon won't go anywhere anytime soon.

Hey, just scroll by them and keep on going. I think a lot of this can be prevented by 1)not allowing anon comments and 2)never,ever feeding the troll.

I only write stories here, so I don't get hate mail. But I blog for my employer on sometimes controversial subjects (reproductive choice, gay rights, religion, animal welfare), and while I try to answer everyones comments respectfully, when it goes off track, I reserve the right to just ignore them. I don't delete them, I let them stay there day after day all alone under the bridge.

I've never had one that lasted more than a week a two unless someone else engages them. (I usually send the engager a private email asking them to not feed the troll)

Don't let the crazy people drive the train.

I found your LJ through a rec from rivier, whose own LJ I used to haunt (in a good way, because I enjoyed it so much)so I'm disappointed to see she has retreated.

I'm kicking myself too that due to health problems with my elderly mother, which have been ongoing since October and have sucked up most of my non-work time, I didn't get around to saving her TW/SJA story "The Other". I don't a kind soul who did save it could send me a copy please?

In one way I'm so glad I got into Supernatural(on RTD's recommendation, no less!) because it's a relief from the ructions in TW fandom. Ah, takes me back to Blake's 7 fandom and the feud there over telling the actors about slashfic. Oh, those were simpler days!

Oh do post TW schizzle, that would be lovely. what a shame about rivier. It's a pity they didn't put a post up about why they were deleting, at least for a day or so. It always seems so odd when journals are purged without warning.

rivier does seem to be an emotional person. She seems like the type to wash her hands of something if comes even close bothering her for very long. If she had person bugging her, I could totally see her backing away and not looking back.

I still remember her flounce from OG/DWF. I kinda thought it was an overreaction at the time, but it put this in context and make it seem less shocking.

Good luck to her, whatever she does. She did have some very good commentary at times.
