Apparently I am the only person on the entirety of the interwebs who did not find the John Barrowman Single Ladies video in any way amusing. This probably says very little about the humorous qualities of said video, and an awful lot about me being a joyless and miserable bitch.

But really, a Single Ladies parody? I'm really happy for you, John and imma let you finish, but Joe Jonas did the best Single Ladies dance of all time. ALL TIME. (Don't YouTube that, I'm lying, it was awful, but then I quite dislike Joe Jonas, which is funny because I have nothing against Nick or Kevin, but Joe just has this thing going on that makes me suspect he was the product of an illicit affair between Mrs Jonas and an evil Greek milkman.)

I feel so alone.

Sorry...I loved John Barrowman's Single Ladies video. But remember, I'm a huge John Barrowman fan. :-)

I also found it meh.

It was well-edited, though.

I feel alone because I seem to be the only dumb foreigner who didn't find a non-Brits-allowed version of it yet :(

Am easily amused.

....Wow, frankly, I just find Barrowman's version intensely creepy.

(Joe Jonas' is only funny to me because he a) is wearing a leotard and b) can't dance at all. Since Barrowman is not wearing a leotard and can dance to some degree, yeah, it doesn't amuse me.)

I didn't watch it. At first, it was just because I couldn't summon the energy to click, but then as it reappeared again and again on my flist, it became a point of honour.

I laughed, but cringed at the same time.

It was just so random.

Pretty much the same here. Though I had to re-watch it a few times for the completely-out-of-step Barrowman on the right. I wasn't sure if my eyes were playing tricks on me there. It raises the whole thing up a notch, imo. (But did Barrowman really engineer this? Or was it just some random thing a fan put together - as I assumed.)

It was created by Creative Nuts, a production company. Or http://www.creativenuts.co.uk/

They do a lot of production work in the UK, including the opening to "Tonight's the Night." They also have done the openings to "Trick or Treat," Strictly, etc.

There's nothing Barrowman does that I find amusing. Seriously. I'm in the "I don't get it" camp. Apparently that makes me "stupid", "bitchy", "jealous" or a myriad of other words thrown out in fandom when someone dares to say they don't like something.

I do enjoy the phrase "joyless and miserable bitch" though. May have to pre-empt the usual fandom crap by stating that up front. Mind if I borrow?

You're not "stupid", "bitchy", "jealous", etc. you just don't like JB, and that's allowed. ;-)

Me, i love him and i'm going to see him in La Cage next week.

To quote Miss Jean Brodie "For those that like that sort of thing, that is the sort of thing they like."

Oh, I will do, we're on one of those cabaret tables right in front of the stage. I'll be able to look up his skirt and everything! Reach out and touch somebody's man.

YET another parody of 'Single Ladies'? I don't understand how JB thought it would be cool or funny when it's already been done to death by almost everyone and their sister.

I saw it, and was a bit WTF? and gave it a wry smile, but i thought it was cobbled from clips of him someone had manipped, not from La Barrowman hisself. If he did do then "Oh dear...3 out of 10, must try harder"

You're not alone.
I thought it was grotesque, and I mean that in the good old-fashion way, like some freak in a sideshow.
Of the 40-odd seconds long, it was about 40-odd seconds too long, and is unfortunately, seared into my brain-stem forever.
I'm sure that somehow, somewhere, RTD is also to blame.

Oh, I was going to say this.

As for JB, well, in anything other than TW, he's so cheezy, I'm surprised it's the same guy.

I found it amusing for 10 seconds but then got bored, probably because I'm not a JB worshipper. And I don't know why people believe that JB himself has done this, it's fan-made surely?

I'm feeling a bit down about hearing RTD talk about Torchwood Series 4 possibly going into pre-production in the new year. It's at this point that Ianto becomes history.

Still, seeing David Tennant back on our screens tomorrow will cheer me up :) as will Gareth's cheap monster-flick in the new year.

JB is his own biggest fan but ultimately I think he is harmless. Which I suppose is quite damning.

I don't believe TW is coming back but if you told me a year ago its fate would be up in the air and I wouldn't give a damn I would never believe it.
