I really enjoyed this week's Dollhouse, which leads me to believe that I do indeed gravitate towards the episodes that deal with Topher having something approaching a soul, and him and Adelle snarking at each other. I think I might actually be watching this show primarily for Topher and Adelle and their scenes together. Yeah, I totally ship it.

They've definitely got more going on between Adelle and Topher this season. Topher seems somewhat more addled than last season and for some reason, more attractive - different hair? clothes? Not sure. I'm constantly on the fence about continuing to watch this show. Last episode was interesting as an origins type story, but ultimately ended up with Sierra in exactly the same place as it began.

There's a mood to this series, I've been reading a few interviews and things, and I think it's to do with the inevitability of Epitaph One, there's a darkness that wasn't there last series. I feel like there will be a payoff for me sticking with it, but then I thought that about Season 7 of Buffy and that ended up with a tinkerbelljesusSpike, which was a bit of a letdown. I'm torn, like you.

Topher seems somehow a bit hotter, yes. Weird.

It's definitely darker this season. I guess I'm sticking with it in the hope that there will be a payoff also. It keeps my interest just enough.
