Yes. He does these kind of bog-standard magic tricks, but he dresses it up partly as mind-control, and partly as the "debunking" of magic and psychic powers and fortune telling/cold reading and stuff. He's staging these events, predicting the lottery results with a very obvious split-screen trick, getting people to stick to the sofa by suggestion, all that sort of stuff, but his angle seems to be getting harder and harder to work out, to the point where it's getting very annoying and you want to shout WHERE IS THIS GOING? WHY ARE YOU DOING IT AND WHAT ARE YOU ATTEMPTING TO PROVE???? I don't really see the entertainment value in it, and I don't see an infotainment value in it either.

I actually quite like him. There's a hint of the swot/geek about him, and he sometimes gets overexcited. And I like the way he explains how things are done.

Plus he's a gayer and i will blindly and without question support anything a fellow homosexualist says or does - NOT!

I don't dislike him, I just have trouble sometimes trying to work out what he's doing and why. The lottery thing was so blatant, and the people involved in the production have more or less admitted it was s simple split-screen magic trick, I don't understand all Derren's quasi-scientific explanations.

My main problem with him is that I don't like people who make maths seem MYSTERIOUS AND DIFFICULT, like when he did that thing about predicting coin tosses and said it was "DEEP MATHS," it wasn't, ít's a relatively straightforward probability calculation.
