Ogi ogi ogi...

Seeing as ogi_ogas has bahleeeted all of his LJ internet fail, people who have been keeping up to date with SurveyWank 09 are now looking for screencaps of the hilarity. (I know rm is, anyway). I am FAR TOO SICK to be indulging said request as I'm about to go to bed, but I'll just share one little thing I decided to cap for posterity. It is, of course, the Ogi Ogas/Sai Gaddam comment RPS that was just too beautiful for me to let slip into the mists of time.





Oh, and for those of you who do have the time or inclination to find some caps around, I found the above by going to google and typing in "cache:ogi-ogas.livejournal.com/681.html?thread=267689", which is how you search google's cache for specific pages that you have the url for but which have since disappeared from the net. I realise it sounds patronising that I'm explaining google cache, but I've recently realised that not everyone finds this whole interwebs thing as laughably easy as I do, I tend to forget that sometimes.

I didn't know the cache thing either. I knew part of it, but not specifically how to search. Today I spent the day reading all the wank in about it all.

Perhaps? I don't know what you're doing.

If you're looking for a cached version of my lj you go to google and search for:

cache:tencrush.livejournal.com

and if you're looking for a cached version of this thread, you type:

cache:tencrush.livejournal.com/208950.html

The page has to have been cached by google, though, which I think requires it to at least have been visited or spidered or whatever. It's usually pretty much impossible to find a cached version of an lj comment, like the one I put up in the post, but that one was a specific comment thread that was linked to by quite a lot of people, so luckily was cached. Normally collapsed comments aren't.
