Before we go on, because I'm not done talking about this, trust me, I am posting a word of warning for anyone who still actually gives a shit.

I WILL NO LONGER BE CUTTING MY POSTS FOR CHILDREN OF EARTH SPOILERS.

I don't see the point, I have lots more to say about what was done to this show and to these characters, trust me, so if you don't want to know, best filter me out now.

For the record, if you are staying spoiler free, as Jack would say: Don't.

I love your take on these things. Partially why I got a login so I'm not just another anon.

Vent away.

Posting spoilers for eps 4 and 5 is indeed a public service.
If I'd been going in to them unspoiled (except for your warnings) then I would have been even more inconcolable than I was.

Thanks for the warning. I went in spoiler-free and now the suffering is acute. What a cruel series, full of horrible child torture, immortal manpain beyond levels safe for human consumption, and Ianto's death at the hands of lack-of-planning.

Only extensive fanalysis can help me now. Thanks for taking the time to put it out there, it's much appreciated.

At first I was really angry with myself for reading the spoilers. But now, not so much. I've seen a fair amount of each episode posted on-line including the big Ianto death scene, and you know what - I don't really want to watch the series on BBC American in two weeks.

So I think I'll skip it for now because not supporting RTD is the best revenge. Pathetically enough, I upgraded my cable a few months ago so I wouldn't have to wait to see it on DVD from Netflix. Guess the lemonade I can squeeze out of Series 3 is the $15/mo I'll save when I cancel the upgrade on Monday.

At some point (probably after I see the Dr. Who with Jack in it, and see if something can be salvaged from Ianto's death) I can rent Series 3 from Netflix. Maybe, maybe not.

This? Just made me weep again. And I've been tear-free for several hours......

spoil away. I'm already warning all my friends overseas not to watch it - just pretend it never happened....
