  • Gwen actually leapt out of the ambulance, two guns blazing. That was AWESOME! And then Ianto ran away from what was obviously the world's worst sniper. I mean, seriously.

  • Ianto's family ARE LOVE. I have never witnessed such a subtly written, complex set of characters. This means, of course, that Ianto will die and we will not get to keep them. Obviously.

  • Okay, the broken leg thing, again, was a subtle bit of characterisation, especially him and his sister's conversation about it and what it was that happened exactly. If I see people running with it and shouting OMGABUSE, and writing loads of fic where Ianto's childabusetrauma is healed by Jack's magicalhealingcock, I will VOMIT. That's NOT what was said. He pushed him too hard, that's a different thing. I'll have some proper thoughts about this revelation later on, I'm sure, I'm still working through it in my mind.

  • FUCK YOU ALL and your negativity, I STILL RLY LIKE LOIS. And I want to keep her. The fact that she's a PA, though, makes me fear we may well be keeping her so she can replace a deaded Ianto. Then again, Ianto's like proper gun-toting Torchwood now, so maybe it'll be okay.

  • BTW, if Ianto with that HUGE GUN is a publicity shot ruse I shall be most disappointed. I want to see this big gun.

  • What I DON'T want to see, ever again, is Jack naked.

  • Gwen and Rhys are adorable and excellent together, and I hope this teamwork a la Meat and The Dead Line continues. Contrary to popular opinion, I don't think Gwen's baby is a goner, either. I think it'll be just fine. And Rhys' never ending quest for food is making me lol.

  • You know how I think Ianto's a HARDASS, and I once postulated my various reasons why if Ianto and Jack played Dom/sub games, Jack would totally be the hyperenthused "YEAH! BRING IT ON!" sub and Ianto would be the restrained and meticulous Dom? You remember how often I've said that? Yeah? So Ianto goes and rescues Jack by formulating a carefully thought-through plan that involves parking his car in a quarry (We're in a quarry!!), presumably making his way back on foot, procuring a JCB, taking out a wall and dropping concrete!Jack into said quarry to free him from his concrete prison. All in all very nice, yes. BUT... BUT BUT BUT, before doing so Ianto makes sure that he's wearing a hard hat and a high visibility builder's jacket, because even in the heat and passion of the moment of heroically saving one's lover from concretey doom SAFETY IS STLL PARAMOUNT, YO. THIS, DUDES. This. Thisthisthis. I have no words about how much I loved this bit of characterisation. No words.

  • I wish I wasn't spoiled for what the 456 looks like. Boo.

  • Yet again, as with the Dead Line, I'm not quite sure how much of my love for this episode (WHICH IS MASSIVE) is based around the fact that Jack wasn't in it much. It saddens me to realise that I like Torchwood more when there's FAR LESS Jack.
