My mother came in for that bit and I had to reassure her that Jack can't die.

I much preferred episode 2 to 1. Funny how all the reviews I saw before the show came out said of the first 3 episodes the first one is the best.

Maybe it's the lack of Barrowman in this one?????

I think it's more due to Gwen's sudden awesomeness. She for the first time was carring the whole show and it was brilliant. So, Britz CAN write action-girl in the right way, it's just TW's previous writers didn't know how.

BTW, naked Jack is not really a pleasant view, never was and it's keeping going down the hill.

Lack of Jack being an improvement was partially a joke (partially). Agree Gwen (and Ianto) were good in this episode though. Competent and capable. Kind of where season 1 went so hideously wrong.

Although I couldn't agree with you more, I'm in a state of loling that this is a spoiler.

When it had a budget and a serious, if short, commitment?

It was super awesome. I'm kind of waiting for Rhiannon to haul off and hit her brother upside the head for being a bit of a prat but even then, I had it pointed out to me that it's really just extremely consistent characterization of Ianto as a bit detached from others unless he's completely obsessed with that person (Lisa, Jack).

Right about the time Ianto dropped Jack off a cliff !

You could almost see him going, "yeah that's for hating the term 'couple' ", and dusting his hands with a nod.

This is so good. My OH hated the first two series and only watched them because of Gwen and Tosh but he loves this one. It's fabulous and I love it to distraction.

I refuse to read anything bad about any of it!

With you on your Jack sentiments but even he's been damn good so far!

Since they got a bigger budget and better written Gwen.
