I kind of like this picture:



(I stole it from lucy_locket) I mostly like how you can see Barrowman's going to look like Walter Matthau in his old age. Except he won't, of course, because he'll have work done. And more than anything, I like how, for a change, there's a promo pic that doesn't look like, well, this:



Yeah, okay, that's fuck awful photoshoppery on my part, but I really dug the guy's hair and wanted to keep it. You get the gist, the promotion's all been a bit "Hey, chicks like Torchwood. And chicks eat up this sort of shit, don't they?" up to now. So yeah, this is better. And the spoilers are actually making me a wee bit excited, yes?

I dunno -- I'm not quite convinced by the Thomas Kinkaid-ey glow of the whole thing. And the proportions of the people look all wrong. Captain Jack seems to have a case of samosa-nose. But I do like Ianto's tragic pose! He at least looks dignified.

These promo pics aren't doing anything to ease my fears surrounding the Ianto death rumour, neither is the focus on his feelings for Jack.

Still, I'm really excited about COE now and it sounds like the show has finally come into its own.

That's probably the best pic they've managed so far - very nice. ISTR that it's going to be week beginning 20th July but I have no idea why I think that now so it could be all bullshit. I hope it is though because that's the start of my summer holiday so I will be free to write fic all week :)

Also, if you watch the extras on the DVD - Burn talks about his character being killed off and says that while you know Tosh is dead; without a body, how can you know that Owen is dead. And I quote "He could survive and become the king of the Weevils."

Probably just wishful thinking on my part, but I really liked the edge he added to the character interactions.
