It's wrong of me to just be pausing through this new trailer, cursing the fact that there's not enough Ianto in it for me to properly assess the pie situation?

Actually, that wasn't hugely spoilery, was it? I didn't actually learn any more than I already learned from the set reports. The production values look quite good, but I'm sensing a frisson of shite in there somewhere, mostly coming from John Barrowman's facial expressions. Oh, and Ianto gets to have man on man kissing AND exposition dumping with his sister (I'm assuming that was his sister) who thinks he's a civil servant? Pardon me while I tick off the appropriate "impending death" boxes over here. If out of those "two and three" who got away, Ianto is indeed "three" and not "two", than he's definitely dead by the end of the episode. I would actually find it hugely entertaining if it turned out that Ianto was "two", I really don't know why. In fact, I think the question of which one is two and which is three is going to be my biggest thing when watching this. I get the feeling I may need the distraction. So, yeah. There's children and explosions. Wooo... big news.

Still no clue about when the hell it's on, though. Arsewipes.

I take it as the opposite. I see it as a positive sign of their relationship. Even in the worst times, they are thinking of each other, and apparently Jack is trying to get Ianto to safety. Episode One, I would say, given the neatness of their appearance and the fact Jack has his coat.

Jack has his coat back on again by episode 4, when he and Ianto travel to London. Filming spies say that the clapper board had 'episode 4' on it when John and Gareth were filming all those walking about scenes.

The background appears to be the Hub, though, and given the height difference Ianto is standing on a raised area which is most likely the flagstone. Also, the suit seems to be the episode 1 suit.

Well, I'm one of those folks who believes that Ianto won't end the series as a member of Torchwood and having the writers give us these types of scenes only confirms my opinion, since these are the very things withheld from the prior series.

I'm one of those people who believe losing another member of the team this early would be suicide for the show (that includes losing Ianto, Rhys or Gwen) and the writers giving us these types of scenes is just them teasing us because they know what we want, and are making us more eager for the series to return. After all, we had a Jack/Ianto kissing scene in the S2 trailer. And what type of things were withheld from the prior season?
