Blech... my gran came over for Christmas dinner and gave us all a rotten flu, which is now ebbing away and turning into a rotten cold. I FEEL LIKE CRAP. Am slowly returning to the land of the living. I owe some people some pm's and I'll do that later, I promise.

ninja_teaboy passed the 200 members level just after Christmas, soo woo and indeed yay on that front. I shall devote more time to it in the new year and actually Do Stuff.

Oh, and thank you to my three month paid time benefactor, the_annexe, I've never actually had any LJ things off anyone before and that made me feel quite jolly inside.

PLEASE BE POSTING PICS FROM GARETH'S GIG THE OTHER DAY, MY PIE SENSES SEEM TO BE TINGLING A BIT. Or maybe he's just lost his Hollywood tan. And, no, don't start on me, bitches, the pie thing will never get old, honestly.

As for the pie, I can't really tell. I'm sure he's let himself go at least a little bit over the festive period but now he's off to America in a few weeks, so he needs to watch himself again.

I have a load of pics from the gig which I shall be posting as soon as the nice man has come round this afternoon to fix my fritzed laptop (I have backups but buggered if I'm going to re-edit them all) (and no I was not editing out the pies). In most of them, he looks uncannily like Satan.

He was wearing a vest and I must say it wasn't the most flattering ever ever, but kind photographer that I am I did judicious cropping. I could not however crop out the Satan-resemblence.

Hooray for the Christmas flu! My 2-yr-old has it. I like it when he's all cuddly, but I wish he'd stop with the vomiting while laying across my lap.

I've seen some pics from the gig, and I'm also not a fan of the scruff, but damn does that boy have some nice eyelashes!

I posted a few pics earlier on one of the comms and there are lots on my lj. He was looking lovely at the gig, but definitely more....erm...squidgy than when memorabilia last month. Its the festive season and he isn't filming so to be expected really.

I have to say I prefer whatever he's got going on now re: facial hair. It looks like he's trimmed it a bit at least, as opposed to the 'I can't be bothered' look he's done in the past.

First, I want to say that I went over to ninja_teaboy and joined. What a lovely site. I will enjoy reading some of the fic there. Thank you.

Now on to Gareth, pie, Blue Gillespie ... I've been pretty quiet about my impressions but since I'm bored at work today I decided to spill.

He looks better without facial hair. If he has facial hair he should keep it trimmed. He looks very hairy and it gets untidy quickly. Not a good look for him. He looks old, used up, and scraggly.

He didn't really look pudgy around the middle, but he looked real beefy around the upper arms and chest (and not in a good way). He should have kept his jacket on, or worn a long sleeve shirt.

He has a lovely voice when he's not screaming. I enjoy music when I can understand the lyrics. Might not be as important for BG or Gareth. I listen to Portishead, 12 Stones, Nightwish, and they scream, but in the proper place and where it's effective. So far, what I've seen of BG, is that the screaming IS the song. Too bad. I'll never gravitate toward Gareth and his singing career.

His eyes seem to get red rimmed when he's drinking??? Some of the pictures look bad because he looks wasted.

Gareth hasn't learned yet (at least from what I can tell) that everything he does will end up on YouTube, or in a LiveJournal, or online somewhere, and matter to his fans. He has to market himself 24 hours a day. So .... I will continue to adore him as Ianto, and only pay half a mind to his alter ego.

Just went to find pics on other people's LJs and spent about five minutes scrolling through whimpering "oh, not good, not good, not good..." Definitely Christmas pie has happened. Also he should cultivate his Ianto-side and wear shirts and be clean shaven, rather than wearing vests and scraggly beardy things which make him look like he could be forty and living on the streets.
