I actually thought that was quite good. Apart from the kind of cop-outy shooty data stick things, the lethalness of which I didn't quite understand. But apart from that... I liked. And fuck me, I don't say that often about Who anymore.

I think so, yeah. Apart from that one line about Rosita being a good name, it was quite good, poignant and cracky at the same time. The actual resolution of the Cyberthreat was as lame and "oh wait, I have an anti-cyberman gun here" as it usually is, but the story was actually pretty good, and Tennant didn't get on my nerves for the first time in ages. And was emo about Donna for a split second. Totally watchable.

Probably my main requirement is much more emo about Donna than about Horseface, what with Donna having got her mind tragically eaten in the previous episode.

Eh, I might stick to my promise to myself not to watch anything that so much as mentions Horseface.

There's a wee informational video in it that shows all the Doctors and Troughton's fayce made me smile. He doesn't really mention her, to be fair. I was very pleasantly surprised by it, given that it was a Rusty episode.

if that's your main wish then you probably shouldn't watch it...he mentions her (and martha) only once, passingly, and not even by name. i was wanting the same thing and was annoyed that he seemed to be over her already and st rose got fucking mentioned AGAIN.

interestingly, though, the very last adventure calendar thingie today on the bbc website was 'donna noble in 90 seconds'. which they ostensibly said was to get everyone caught up and to generate some interest in the bbc3 reruns...but since she was never really mentioned in the special, that's reason's kind of invalid. so in my mind i have decided it is a SIGNIFICANT SETUP and means that next year there will be a WHOLE SPECIAL devoted to donna where she kicks simm!master in the ghoulies and and brings harriet jones back to life (by sheer force of her brilliance alone) and finds her husband from 'silence in the library' and shags him senseless. and then kicks the doctor in the ghoulies. just cause.
