• I've said in a few places that if MTV really do remake The Rocky Horror Picture Show, I will shoot myself in the face, but now I'm suddenly thinking "Hey, what if they got Neil Patrick Harris as Riff Raff, that might work." I fail at righteous indignation.



• Confused question: I watched Dr Horrible many, many times somehow convinced that Captain Hammer was holding the death ray the wrong way round and hence the explosion. I realise now he wasn't. Why did it asplode, dudes?

Why are they going to remake RHPS?! That's NOT ALLOWED! Sorry, but...NO.

That CANNOT be remade. It just...it would NOT be the same. I hate that they might remake it :( :(

I felt like you, yes, but over the past week I guess I've just come to terms with the fact that this is just going to happen, even if I were to chain myself to their front door and strip my own flesh off. Which was my first instinct.

Now I'm just trying to make the best of a bad situation and praying to several gods at once that they don't completely murder it, but only murder it a bit.

This is indeed a great tragedy, one which I will deeply feel. The whole POINT of Rocky Horror was that it was shunned for YEARS because it was too weird for the mainstream! Shambolic sets that echoed every time Curry raised his voice! The silly scene with Eddie riding his bike around! LITTE NELL'S BOOB FALLING OUT IN THE FLOOR SHOW SCENE! *weeeeep*

It's just not FAIR *stamps foot*

I'm really, really straight, but I'd totally do Susan Sarandon in Rocky. Floor show, man. Yum.

It is a little known fact that I am with my other half (11 years now) because I have Patricia Quinn's hair. Or something. That's what he told me when we met anyway. He, my other half, is a fervent fan and has been since its inception and he's actually seen it on stage so many times that he said, upon hearing this news, that he thinks it'll work with anyone. Even though he's a religiously fervent fan of the film. I guess I can kind of understand that point.

OMG you have Patrica Quinn hair?! When I went to see Rocky Horror on stage (when I was about 14!) I went as her! Well...half did. I based my look on her, but I had a floor length black dress, but my makeup and hair was done like hers. I wish I could go and see it again, I really want to go!

I thought Dr. Horrible banged it or something during the tussle with Captain Hammer after he unfroze. Dr. Horrible noticed that something was wrong with the gun and warned CH not to use it.

Barrowman as Frank-N-Furter? Or Brad. Could be funny.

They remade Psycho. PSYCHO. Using the same frickin' script and shot breakdown. IN COLOR. Anything is possible now. I am no longer surprised, horrified, or hopeful for our creative future.

True, but--and I've only seen Part 3 once--I believe there is a POV shot of him seeing something wrong with the gun before saying something to Captain Hammer.

And if someone were pointing a deathray/gun at me, I might be a little more emphatic about the "Don't!"

I have to say, I also thought he spotted someting wrong with the gun and was warning Hammer not to use it. Which is why at first I assumed Hammer was pointing it at himself.

If MTV is holding the reins, it'll be a horror show, no doubt - just not the kind any fan of the original would like to see. I imagine they'd fill it with the 'pop-tart' and 'reality show' types found on VH1 and E! these days. *makes retching noises*

But if NPH is cast, I'd watch it. :)
