*washes brain*
Jul. 16th, 2008 11:50 amSo, I'm just sitting here, watching This Morning, and there's Valerie Singleton happily telling the world that she fucked Peter Purves, complete with phoned-in reaction from Purves saying, "yes, we did and she was aces".
I feel so dirty now. I have no words.
Seriously, though, is this what the world has come to? Oh my.

Date: 2008-07-16 02:20 pm (UTC)Yes. I am mulling this one over in the form of an essay about what is bad and good about this revelation because I have many thoughts on the subject. I'm not QUITE sure exactly what those thoughts are yet.

Date: 2008-07-16 02:34 pm (UTC)Haha, I figured you might be working on one. If I may say so I really do enjoy your essays; you write very insightfully and actually have something to SAY, whereas I have friends on my flist who attempt to write similar "essays" and end up making absolutely no points at all. (Thus ends my fairly awkward praising.)
I myself think it does lend some veracity to the blogs but I'm not sure if they should be treated as canon. I'm also still a little bitter that they're just loaded with Jack/Ianto while the actual show seems to be fine going several episodes without developing their relationship any.

Date: 2008-07-16 04:20 pm (UTC)I'm not sure how I feel either; the blogs make it look like the writers want Jack/Ianto to be more than just a sexual relationship, just not on-screen.

(Bob McGrath, Betty Aberlin: don't you EVER frickin' do something like this.)
