I hate to say 'I told you so', but... hey... you know?

Seriously though, Moffat, what was the photoshopmeltyface in aid of? My son's just spent the last half hour telling me 'I DON'T LOVE that Doctor Who, why was her face all squished? I DON'T want to see it again!' And now he won't go to sleep. THNX.

(Also, Moff, you do this thing sometimes where you like to imply that women are either pretty or clever, but can't be both. It grates, that thing.)

I thought of you when that bit came up; you are far too good for Who.

Poor Beckett though :( I hope he sleeps!

yup... and what did i say?

...because she'll throw herself in harms way to make sure he lives to meet her in the future...

sometimes the old formulas are the best. but being DW they did have to come up with a pseudo happy ending.

anyone else notice the "song" theme running through S4?

I was happy that somebody else got to be Jesus this time. And nobody turned into Tinkerbell to do it.

Butterfly remarked on that, and yeah, the dumb-but-pretty is so overused. It helps to have Donna & River Song who are not just pretty and smart but also strong, but I agree those bits leave a bad taste (and don't talk to me about the ending, sigh).

And the line "I'm intelligent and unloved so I see everything!!" also made me go "what?" Did someone not hug you enough as a child, Moffat?

Honestly, I was disappointed in the episode. It wasn't scary in the slightest and this is coming from someone who has had a lifelong fear of the dark. I thought the library wasn't scary and a poor use of the setting. I think it should have been in a museum or something because formaldehyde-filled corpses + dim lighting can be very creepy.
