I kind of like the kinky part, it shows how kinky Ianto is.
I do like how their relationship was handled this series. It was described as a slow burn and that is exactly what we've gotten.
I do wish the writing was a little more consistent. It seems like some writers want Jack/Gwen and some want Jack/Ianto, and it can be a bit jarring.
