I think they'll tone down Donna a bit (they did meet as he 'kidnaped' her from her wedding, different circumstances and all). Also, to justify Donna they'll probably have to make Ten a bit darker (the moments I truly loved him in s3 were when he went a bit dark).
I think it'll end up working for most of the people who didn't like Donna/do not want Donna right now. And nothing could possibly be as bad as 13 Idiots Lanterns (or I'd be crying with you).
