her parents don't seem at all fussed not having her around I have to keep telling myself that there's a REASON Moffat is making them not fussed and tearing their hair out and stabbing the Doctor's face because the baby isn't there. Because my mind cannot fathom that Moffat would think these two are okay with the current state of affairs, even though that really does seem to be what he's showing us.
I think the ending will be bait and switch. I think we'll be led to believe that a choice has to be made, returning the baby to Amy and Rory, and that this choice will take the River we know away, when really, the baby raised by Amy and Rory IS the River we know. Because, as we've seen from both Amy and Rory in these past few episodes, her parents are actually pretty hardcore and awesome.
