OKAY...

He's now renamed HIS OWN FUCKING JOURNAL "SurveyFail". I cannot get over the fucking fuckery of this fucker.

I know most of you on my flist won't be caring hugely about SurveyFail, but here's why I do. It's shit like this:
Men want to see women in porn that behave exactly like they'd behave: promiscuous, easy, and without any lasting connection. In the case of gay men, they DO get to see men who behave just like them. When men read books, they want action. Generally speaking, women want to read about men who behave like them: sensitive and emotionally committed. In those women who do like visual erotica, they tend to want plot and context.
Nifty is used predominantly by males for predominantly male purpose
(male purpose, which is what, exactly? wank and move on, yes?)
Coming from a set of fucking NEUROSCIENTISTS who themselves confess that they have no interest in people and "are not doing social research". The whole thing just fucking annoys me. Their presumptions about people's sexuality, and women specifically, focussing their research on women in fandom who like to read m/m porn because this is what? Freakish? Yes, apparently, it's on a par with men liking "shemale porn" (his words, not mine). And why is this? Oh yeah, that's right, because women wanking to pretty men making out is fucking BIZARRE. Women wanking to fucking anything is pretty fucking bizarre in the first place, right? Women who WANK and like PORN with BLOKES in must be WIRED FUNNY! Let's research that, because surely only MEN like porn and masturbation. Women like kittens and bunnies and cushions and babies and things that are fluffy and soft!! FUCK YOU. FUCK YOU RIGHT IN THE EAR, OGAS. I'm so righteously pissed off by this misogynistic fucking bullshit, and you know what the funny thing is? I DON'T EVEN LIKE SLASH!!

But, yeah, I love to fap. I'll fap to fucking anything. Stick that in your neuroscientific pipe and smoke it, Ogi. Give my love to Sai.

Amen!!

I know I'm veering slightly off topic, but reading this I couldn't help thinking about the fact that heterosexual porn doesn't exist. No, really, it doesn't.
I have no idea why, but I've never seen a 'het' porn film that *didn't* include at least one girl on girl scene ... that makes it bi to me, and yet, these are sold as het porn.
Put one boy on boy scene in it and man will (welll, het men, duh) stutter and complain about it being labelled wrongly and refuse to watch it.
*rolls eyes*
Oh, yes, men really know what we want *as if!*

now why do I have 'it's a man's world' echoing through my head?

Hahahaha I can't believe he has the balls to rename his journal survey fail. I mean it's the truth.

I also love the fact, he couldn't handle the pressure about his whole transsexual comments. He deleted it from the one journal he commented on.

It actually amazes me at how dumb this man really is. It actually kind of scares me that he's got a PhD in anything.

Have you seen the pdf's of the questions from the survey?? Your kids could write better questions. :)

WYMYNS DON'T LIKE TEH PRONZERS so of course, porn is market towards MANLY MEN who like TEH BOOBIES and, MOAR BOOBS=MOAR SPUNK. See? It makes sense if you use fail logic as opposed to real logic.

Also, you've just reminded me that I've got to see what we're doing for our lolarious pornathon this years. It's going to be tough to beat last year's Pirates and Pirates II.

I like fapping to bunnies and kitties but only of they are all boys! Wearing leather. And lipstick!

A survey conducted by men who obviously understand little about male sexual desire let alone female or (gasp) gay or bi.

You couldn't make this stuff up, really you couldn't.

Is anyone even sure these guys are "real"? What they're doing and how they're doing it seems much too trollish to me. Why would a neuroscientist be using a frikin' internet survey as any kind of work related research anyway? (Book deal or no.) Shouldn't they be doing data collection in a lab if they want to avoid social research - which is primarily done via surveys and interviews?

The reason for the girl-on-girl scenes is partially financial -- it is a cheap way to add more sexin'. No fluffers needed, no need to re-shoot the scene if the guy doesn't come on cue, etc. It takes something like 3x longer to film a m/f sex scene than a f/f scene.

I haven't actually seen much mainstream porn, but HBO's Real Sex used to discuss it when talking about female porn stars.

Technically speaking, our dear Ogi has a degree in AI.

Obviously, he's trying to build sexbots.

I didn't notice that in the picture the first time I viewed it. hahahahaha. Brilliant, better yet is that he kept it up there.

And to think, I was actually just thinking, two days ago, while reading what Victorians consider sexual perversions, that thank goodness we as a society have moved beyond 19th century mores...

This is just...so ridiculous. I don't believe he's a neuroscientist. He's at best a computational biologist focusing in neuroscience.

The more I poke around this topic, the more unbelievable it gets. And, yeah, apparently the guy does have a degree, but the 'unbelievable' part is that any of his actions in this were in pursuit of scientific answers. His alma mater reached the same conclusion and has apparently retracted any support of him or his project (http://www.roughtheory.org/content/wearing-the-juice-a-case-study-in-research-implosion/).

He was trying to build a bank account on his sexual fantasies. I wonder, now, if he'll ever publish that book. (Or if he'll maybe publish a different one, more to do with his own failure or with his perception of The Social Power Structures of Women on the Internet.)

Troll. He has to be a massive troll and is conducting a social experiment. I refuse to comment anywhere so my words won't 'accidentally' be used in his book.

That explains so much! After all "Men are from Mars" is really "Men all think the way I think," and Camille Paglia's entire career is based on thinking she's the only person with a valid POV.

So realizing that they're just projecting their own lusts *and* their own misogyny explains everything.
