Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I agree with a lot of it, especially what you said about why Ianto died. GWEN COOPER: EARTH DEFENDER. - I hope this isn't the plan. ugh. I liked her a lot in COE, but resent her surviving and relatively happy compared to Ianto getting killed off and Jack made a wreck. I tend to disagree that RTD is being homophobic in killing off Ianto though. I think it was because he was Jack's lover, not because he was gay/bi. Unfortunately, it plays into all the cliches, so maybe it's a tossup.
I also might decide COE never happened. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to deal with it. It seemed like such a gratuitous torture-fest for the characters. Jack's back where he started when he met the Doctor, only worse. He better not be his old self when he appears in DW.
