BNF means Big Name Fan - which some people assume is what the con-goers hope to achieve by going to these cons and getting the "please don't tell" type stories (because, once you've thrown out a few tidbits, All The Fans In The House will be knocking on your lj door, wanting to friend you and possibly do whatever silly thing you want them to, to get the sooooper sekrit information only con-goers have).
