I totally get your point with the fanon woobie!Ianto, but I gotta say I have never seen any increased focus on feminising him in canon. One vulnerable moment does not a woman make, nd TW has never ever been about hearts and flowers. I have a little faith.
Unless what you meant was the fanon is putting you off, which, yeah I can see that. I don't dare even wander into torch_wood any more in case I die of sugar shock or get roped into changing Jones-Harkness baby nappies.
