Oh jeez. Sometimes I'm not quite sure if the type of folk you speak of are just really young (literally and/or mentally) or if they just need a smack upside the head. Yeah, sure, tv=escapism and all that, but still - doesn't mean you leave all sense/logic behind. I think it might also smack of these folks coming to the situation using their own emotions. Not Ianto's. 'Cause I'm with everyone above about Ianto probably just raising an eyebrow and carrying on.
