Yeah, I find it interesting in this particular fandom, because the approach is completely different and the actual sexual relationships are established canon, which is a completely different thing to writing Spike/Angel, you know?
I like corkscrewing, if nothing else it is at least more accurate. The scissoring thing does just seem to be an online thing, the whole phrasing around it is quite formulaic, like it's been copie and passed down from fic to fic. Which wouldn't really be a noticaeable thing if it wasn't quite such an inaccurate word to describe the motion.
