Oh, absolutely - I'm not particularly arguing for less Gwen/Rhys but for a balancing amount of Jack/Ianto.
My suspicion is that they avoided showing what Jack & Ianto were doing after Exit Wounds because they are planning to avoid showing anything related how Jack deals with the MASSIVE TRAUMA he's just undergone.
