Nor have I ever understood this whole "you aren't qualified to have an opinion because you aren't perfect!" argument. You don't have to be a lauded screenwriter to know when a show sucks, you don't have to be a literary critic to think a book sucks, and you don't have to be a breathtakingly gorgeous movie star to know when someone is getting a bit chubby. Everyone's entitled to have an opinion and voice it if they so choose. I don't see the harm in this. Mostly because I really, really doubt that GDL actually reads this LJ.
