Pointless Who trailer thoughts regarding Ianto (who else?)

So... anyway, we've all seen that second trailer, yeah?



Remember when I said way back when that Ianto was in the finale? Because he'd been filming it in March and we all knew that, really.

One Thing We Must Bear In Mind when it comes to March 2008 and Gareth David-Lloyd and that is that March was, of course, PIE ZENITH MONTH. I think if I mention it now, maybe we can get the pie discussion out of the way and we can spend the weekend focussing on the positives and the squee regarding Gareth's appearance in Who. So, yes, March was a bad month for pie and jawlines. Let's just accept that now, BEFORE these episodes air, embrace it even, and move on. Chubby.

Also: YES GARETH HAS LARGE MANHANDS. But why are they so dirty? I mean they're dirty enough to assume that they're not accidentally dirty, because they're too dirty for their dirtiness to have slipped under the radar of say, the costume lady and the cameraman and the director and such, so they must be dirty for a reason. Theories on a postcard, please. (My own theory is that since Fragments happened, Ianto has not had a shower, despite the fact that Gwen has been home and cuddled Rhys. Ianto has been trapped in the Hub with Jack for reasons known only to the two of them. And there hasn't been time for a shower for reasons that are equally convoluted and/or disgusting.)

I too think that Ianto never left the hub since the end of the season. It's a logical explanation for everything...

Ianto's hands are dirty because someone has to do all the machinery and maintenance to fight off the looming menace, and Jack's too busy posing and having inexplicable UST with Gwen.

Yes, it's the pie zenith. I don't care. I have accepted it and am just ecxited to see TW in Doctor Who. GDL was much thinner at Rift, although the pics from this weekend suggest pie consumption may be up. Or the poor guy just has some bad photographic angles.

(waits for obligatory comments about my own pie consumption and bad angles and keeping my mouth shut. Whatever. GDL on pie is still thinner and hotter than me and I have no problem admitting it!)

As for the dirty manhands I'm thinking it's just a natural side-effect of fighting DALEKS INNA HUB-- things exploding, people exploding, ought to get very messy.

Umm...

Do we know who is the Torchwood Three general mechanic? I mean, the one that does the dirty mechanical work. I can imagine that Jack's become uber-busy with the technology stuff without Tosh, so Ianto is taking up the mechanical duties.

Every time, I say that else where, people reacted irrationally and completely in denial. We love the guy but that doesn't mean we can't point out flaws.

If I reckon correctly, the jawline started to fade long before this, actually so far back to the beginning of season 2. Also the backward progressing hairline on the forehead didn't help either.

Dear Gareth, please lay off what ever you've been munching on since the wrap up of Season 1; please keep the length of your hair, the one you have right now is pretty good; please get a manicure; please, please work out more. You looked pitch perfect in Season 1, so don't blame the camera; it's you letting go. Go have a date with jumping rope or something; like Tencrush said, lay off the pie. We will see you in September. (I'm guessing that's when our dedicated spies will start to move out and roaming around Cardiff.)

Slightly off the topic... I saw JB's entrance during Comic Con panel... He really should keep his tummy covered until he gets some real abs. Be a Gym junkie please... if you ever want to get back to Hollywood. (They will get over their phobias eventually, at that time you don't want to be blocked out b/c you are not as fit as the rest of the 40/50 something hot uncles).
