I am putting money down on Billie leaving at the end of series 2. I have my reasons.
Not because of Rose h8 or anything like that, purely because it is A Feeling. That has been growing increasingly stronger over the past few weeks.

I'm pretty certain she is confirmed for the start of next season. However, no-one will confirm how long she's around for, so I suspect she'll be gone by the middel of next season.

We shall see.

I know this: "All parties want more of Rose Tyler as was confirmed at the press launch for Doctor Who series two.
However it is too early to confirm in what shape, form and how that will be for series three." But that's all I actually know.

Given that Tennant is confirmed for series 3, and given that all that this actually means is that he is NOT confirmed for a possible series 4, should there be one, the logistics involved in the worst case scenario of having to replace both the Doctor AND the companion within about 6-8 episodes of series 3 is just one of my many reasons for making my wildly inaccurate prediction what I just posted there.

The Billie is signed for S3. Woes. But other than that I thinks you speak sense, because S2 thus far has made a very good effort to switch the focus from her and to give her reasons to piss off. What frets me is that this may be intentional and I worry that her S3 stuff will look pastede on by comparison.

*I haven't seen any official word that teh Billeh has signed for series 3. I've read a lot of rumours on teh internets, but nothing actually official.
*Billeh was being way too enigmatic in the Radio Times that one time. So was David some other time I don't remember where.
*She is doing other stuffs onna Beeb and riting a book.
*I can't help but feel her total non-presence when it comes to actual promo for this current season. I was so surprised to see her on Confidential the other day, because I fully expected her to not do any promo whatsoever. I get the feeling her virtual non-existence is an attempt to wean the OG "WEWUVBILLEH" crowd off her somehow.
*I just have this feeling. I'm not proud, but there it is.
