That's pretty faily right there. Not as faily as that thing with Martha and you know who, but still pretty fucking offensively faily. As was that thing with Donna. Wow, that's a lot of fucking fail to heap upon an awful lot of companions.

Well in my fanon, only as part of the litany he went through at the end of CoE, where Ianto wasn't given either first or last place (as in, and most of all Ianto).

In fact, I'm don't think his moping at the bar is necessarily Ianto related as much as the whole thing and of course leaving Gwen for he thinks is her own good.

It's very unlikely that Jack would be thinking about Gwen when he had to sacrifice his own grandson and possibly lose what relationship he had with his daughter.

My first thought upon seeing Jack at the bar was of Steven.

It's not impossible he was thinking of Gwen as well as Steven, Tosh, Owen, Estelle, etc. I say Gwen because she is very much unfinished business for him. I doubt it's just Steven, because I doubt the Doctor would necessarily fix that in the way he did. Steven plus, yeah. Steven just, not so much.

That made me laugh. It's true. If Jack didn't lament his own brother getting blown up in CoE than Ianto won't even get a tear of doom.
