Haha SPOILERS DON'T READ

In Russell's world, bumsex with Russell Tovey pretty much fixes all your emo manpain, no matter how vast, yeah?

That's pretty faily right there. Not as faily as that thing with Martha and you know who, but still pretty fucking offensively faily. As was that thing with Donna. Wow, that's a lot of fucking fail to heap upon an awful lot of companions.

DON'T LET THE DOOR HIT YOUR ASS RUSSELL.

Also, did Simm just disappear, never to be mentioned again, or did it just seem that way?

Oh god, they actually did that shit with Martha?

[identity profile] bloodredroses1.livejournal.com 2010-01-01 07:55 pm (UTC)(link)
WTF?!?!? I was already dreading this when it airs on BBCA but I'm beinging to think I need to get my bottle of Bushmills ready. Or go & get a bottle of JD because I'm not sure I want to wast the good stuff on Russell.

YAY 3 for 3 on Married To Someone She Just Met!

The Martha thing is horrid. THEY'RE BOTH BLACK!

Wasn't Martha engaged to another doctor???? I can't believe RTD actually did that. The Bard of Sadford upon Lame-On.

[identity profile] nostalgia-lj.livejournal.com 2010-01-01 08:06 pm (UTC)(link)
They can talk all teh time about being black!

[identity profile] ceindreadh.livejournal.com 2010-01-01 08:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Wait a minute, no. Martha wasn't just engaged to Tom Millegan, she was ON HER FUCKING HONEYMOON IN Children of Earth.
So if she's not married to Tom, then that means Children of Earth didn't happen, right?

Or should I just count it up as continuity-fail?

While I haven't seen TDOT part 2 yet, I'm seeing very interesting comments on Twitter. I'm getting an idea what's going on thru that. We see a post COE Jack... Martha marries Mickey? That is so crazy. I really thought Martha married Tom Milligan. I take it Wilf is OK and Donna makes it through too?

Ahhh..I do look forward to seeing this. So, they didn't show the regeneration and the Doctor was alone when this happened. I'm sure I'll be crying when I do watch. I'm a very emotional person. :-)

I'd love for it to be CoE didn't happen, but it's continuityfail, or perhaps an alternate reality? I'm not clutching at straws...

Or they'll say CoE happened after EoT

I managed to find a live stream. Yep. My first ever episode of Doctor Who at original air time was this little self indulgent mess.

It's like you could hear him screaming from the hilltops. I AM RUSSELL T DAVIES. THIS IS WHAT I DID. AM I NOT AWESOME? And the universal reply was.."Oh sure...Hey, look! It's the new guy!" History won't be kind to this episode. In the greater context of DW I doubt this will go down well. Rusty never did understand context.

Still love Simm's Master - yes, even after that - so I'm happy he can come back in the Moffat era. I prefer the continuity of the Master. He shouldn't change just because the Doctor does. I'm hoping Moffat might reign him in a bit, though.

Honestly, I thought the Alonso/Jack at the Cantina thing was cute. Jack moves on, and always has. Ianto was never his one true love, and that never bothered me. He's been around 1,000s of years now. I would imagine he deals with that kind of loss pretty well at this point. Didn't need the scene, but the scene on its own didn't bug me. (Plus, I think someone on GB won bingo with it)

The Martha thing on the other hand...Really? REALLY?! That was bullshit of epic proportions. When did we establish that she no longer loved the awesome, heroic doctor she was engaged to? Oh Yeah, they're both black. *eyeroll* I like the idea of her and Mickey working together, but they should work with UNIT. And not be fucking married. Russell's issues with authority have hurt the show.

Also, I want my fucking Time Lords back!! Proper fucking Time Lords. Parental figures of old. No more lonely Time Lord. No more "they went crraaaazzy!" bullshit. For God's sake, please?!

If you're posting, I'm assuming you don't care about spoilers.

You'll get your regeneration. Don't worry.

[identity profile] aresnz.livejournal.com 2010-01-01 08:32 pm (UTC)(link)
LOL..I'm not worried. I know the regeneration happens. I'm just putting things together from Twitter and from here. Of course there's nothing like actually watching the show. I guess the 4 knocks are a huge part of the show.

I know...I'll find out all answers once I'm able to watch the show. :-)

Or it was her honeymoon with Mickey...yeah...that's it...the good doctor left her for someone not invented by Russell T Davies. Less emo manpain and batshit aliens in his future. Sure.

[identity profile] caledonius72.livejournal.com 2010-01-01 08:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Midshipman Frame is pretty awesome though. Perhaps it's just a meaningless shag for Jack to try and blot out his man!pain. Or just a quick sweeping under the carpet of any kind of emotional fallout. It does indicate that the Doctor had some knowledge of what went on in CoE, and thought Jack needed a "new piece of ass" to help him get over it.

Anyone want to write some fic about the Captain and the Midshipman roaming across space and having sexytiems until the Midshipman dumps him for being a cock?

WTF! Martha and Mickey? Married? Oh Rusty you are a hoot, and you have such control over your characters to rewrite their canon history. Your powers are awesum, Mr Davies!

And Donna, so her head wouldn't really 'splode then? So what the hell was all that DOOM shit about her not being able to remember him at all, ever, ever again. At least she got married to a nice bloke, in what looked like the same wedding dress from her first appearance.

You really wonder why he bothered to put all the crap in at the end about the Doctor seeing all his old "mates" - what did it serve?

The Master is still there for Moffat to pull him out as a handy plot device if he cocks up royally.

My Dad, who hasn't really watched new Who, said that it had to be the longest goodbye in history.

[identity profile] erinnthered.livejournal.com 2010-01-01 08:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, I'm sure we just misunderstood the obsession. Sure. It wasn't RTD dropping the ball on the actual plot so he could pull his cock out and measure it in front of the world for 15 minutes...

[identity profile] eandh99.livejournal.com 2010-01-01 08:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Martha and Mickey??! she married Tom and they were on their honeymoon in COE, so whaazup with that? proof that CoE was really an AU? I could deal with that. Jack hooking up with Alonso in the future, that's all we got of Jack?? Man RTD must think Tovey is cute, because that's some kind of magic healing sex. Totally spoilered because I need to know before I inflict any more RTD on myself. When does the Thank God he's GONE party start?

I do kinda love that in all this Rusty managed to work in his hard on for Russell Tovey. I don't think Tovey would touch him with a 1,000 meter cock, but dammit, if he didn't get to establish that his character is omni and willing. Now Tovey can go back to the actually good show that he's on...
