Really, it all comes down to RTD's dislike of authority. He was using DW to work it out, and that's not okay with me. You don't get to fuck around with beloved TV shows just because you can. We are stuck with his BS. This isn't the 70s where you can just throw canon out the window. Some of it will stick.

Totally saw the Donna thing coming, though. Rusty lobes to establish "OMG the world will end if this happens!" rules, and then totally throw them out the window. Did this guy not have parents? Or a dog or something? You can't keep making rules and then breaking them...

Yeah, he was touting Tovey as 11 for ages, it's the main reason people were betting on him. There was a lot of that squicky "he's so hawt" shit going on like he did with GDL for a while as well. The man creeps me out a lot.

Tennant and Cribbins were great :) the story was over-the-top :( but that's what I came to expect with Russell's finals. I'm so glad he's moved on. Blink and The Empty Child are two of my favourite WHO episodes so far, so things can only get better.

I'm glad it's not just me who thought that having Martha and Mickey get together was a little 'racist' when she was apparently engaged to Tom.

I did find Jack's scene uncomfortable to watch, especially as Russell chose Tovey to play the lust interest. I'm going to find it so hard to watch Torchwood series 4, I just know it, Jack's love life can only get more boring as he goes from pretty lover to pretty lover.

To be honest considering what he has to go through on Torchwood - living forever,all the endless, often painful and violent deaths, being buried alive for thousands of years,poor leadership decisions/ endless family drama leading to the rapid demise of his team mates, having to sacrifice various relatives for the greater good etc. - it's probably just as well for him that apparently all it takes is a good shag to make all right with his world again. If the poor guy had to also deal with the real after effects that go with any one of these events he'd be a serious wreck by now.
