Why ruin a perfectly crackingly good episode with two minutes of the gheyest most pointless fucking shit ever seen on TV?

I loved that episode, then I did a rather large sick in my mouth, then I loved it again. Can someone re-edit that for me so I can watch it again? Just cut out a minute and a half, and I'll be fine with it.

Yeah, I commented on the weight in Stolen Earth, because he looked like he had gained A LOT OF WEIGHT, and then in Journey's end, it looked fixed again, so I thought I was imagining it until I read your comment.

It is ABSOLUTELY tragic.

I watched the first season of Who and then switched to Torchwood. When Jack got snatched, I decided to watch his Doctor Who episodes before switching back, which required me to watch season two, and then season three. And then everyone was raving about season four and I was determined to get caught up by the finale, and.......here I am. Missing my Torchwood enormously.

Of course, since Who is done for now, I can return home to my lovelies gladly.

Oh, do come home. They miss you so!

I know, but surely those are adultery issues and not queer issues? Ianto's never really struck me as having any queer issues, but then Ianto's always struck me as a guy who's pretty secure about his sexuality.

I read it as 90% adultery issues and 10% OMG I'M BETWEEN HIS LEGS AND I CAN FEEL HIS DICK AND IT FEELS GOOD AND I'M SO OUTTA HERE OMG.

He was prepared to whore himself for Lisa, but not prepared to enjoy it. I agree that Ianto's sexually confident, but under those circumstances a bit of freak can be expected.

Hmm, I guess I could understand the 10% bit, but I never saw it that way. In as much as I didn't read that scene as saying here is the moment Ianto realises he's bi. Mainly because I think Ianto's far too secure in himself as a person to be clueless about his own leanings. He knows what he wants, he's prepared to do whatever to get it, he's clever and incredibly confident and all of that, personalitywise, for me doesn't really fit with a guy who at the same time has no clue that he's bisexual. I realise my "Ianto's a big dominant alpha male" opinions may be clouding my judgement on that one, but no, I don't think Ianto didn't know he was bi when he set out to seduce Jack.

I think he was prepared to whore himself out for Lisa, but he wasn't prepared to enjoy it, yeah. I think the fact that he enjoyed it therefore freaked him out but I don't think the fact that Jack is a guy as opposed to a girl made that fact any better or worse for him.

No, I agree that it's mostly the whoredom issue: that's where the tears of shame and humiliation come from, at the end of that scene when he's offered the job.

But the quick getaway --"I should go"-- seems like not the Moment He Realizes but the Moment It Leaves the Realm of the Theoretical. GDL says (and I take his word for it) that Jack is Ianto's first man. Which, taken unaware as he was, and embroiled in an economy-size heartache as he was, would take some mental adaptation.
