Because I'd be willing to bet that despite the hilarious premise, nobody gets FUCKED IN THE ASS in this book, and at least if we handed over to the ficcers, we'd have a guarantee that the novels would be full of FUCKING FILTH. Maybe not always filth of the highest calibre or believability, but pornography nonetheless. All the books would be about Jack and Ianto (the Time Lord) and would contain gratuitous rimming and hilariously bad things happening to Gwen. Actually, now that I start to think about it, all of that might not actually be that bad an idea. Forget I spoke. Fucking gender swap. Honestly, man. Kill me now.

Beckett LOVES The Doctor's Daughter and I think he fancies Jenny a bit. Nothing really to add to the topic at hand, just wanted to say thank you. With each of your Metas and/or commentaries, you make my addiction induced withdrawal from Ianto – err, I mean TW - that much more tolerable. And god bless GDL and his take on the character he brings to life quite brilliantly. I’ve only read the posted excerpts from his TW magazine interview, but reading his understanding and/or interpretation of Ianto is ALMOST as satisfying as watching him bring those interpretations to life on the show.

I find it interesting that this line, regarding Ianto's stopwatch and diary, hasn't been quoted anywhere, because it's one of those things that makes me love Gareth's brain sometimes, he says Ianto has a:
"... need for things that are timeless and lasting works... and, on another level, Jack is timeless and lasting as well, and you see Ianto's fascination after he sees him on the screen in From out of the Rain..." The boy does think things well and truly through sometimes, it's so sweet.

I love Gareth, he puts so much thought into Ianto as a character.

Ah! - So *that* explains the besotted look Ianto gave Jack as he spoke of his time with the traveling entertainers in FOotR’s boardroom scene. Originally, I thought this, but then I learned the scene was originally written for Gwen, and I assumed that GDL was channeling her… Yes, he is definitely a ‘thinking’ actor, and I love that he plays Ianto as someone with an old soul who appreciates and relishes the past and Classic things in life.

Worth reading, as GDL makes it quite clear Ianto is falling in love with Jack. And he's got some great comments about filming the TTLM Janto kiss - GDL "loved it"!
