tencrush: (ianto pie)

I'm wrong in the head.

It's wrong of me to just be pausing through this new trailer, cursing the fact that there's not enough Ianto in it for me to properly assess the pie situation?

Actually, that wasn't hugely spoilery, was it? I didn't actually learn any more than I already learned from the set reports. The production values look quite good, but I'm sensing a frisson of shite in there somewhere, mostly coming from John Barrowman's facial expressions. Oh, and Ianto gets to have man on man kissing AND exposition dumping with his sister (I'm assuming that was his sister) who thinks he's a civil servant? Pardon me while I tick off the appropriate "impending death" boxes over here. If out of those "two and three" who got away, Ianto is indeed "three" and not "two", than he's definitely dead by the end of the episode. I would actually find it hugely entertaining if it turned out that Ianto was "two", I really don't know why. In fact, I think the question of which one is two and which is three is going to be my biggest thing when watching this. I get the feeling I may need the distraction. So, yeah. There's children and explosions. Wooo... big news.

Still no clue about when the hell it's on, though. Arsewipes.

There's a distinct lack of Ianto, and much Jack. Hasn't anyone told them we all decided Ianto was the star of the show?

For some reason I assumed the "three/two" thing was "we are noobs and think we got Jack". Which isn't to say they might not anyone else somewhere later down the line.

DAMMIT BBC WE NEED PIENALYSIS.

NOOO IANTO LIVES AND THERE ARE RAINBOWS AND KITTENS

I really hope if he dies it's not solely to give Jack angst. Don't you dare make him the woobie to the end.

He definitely doesn't have his waify series-one figure, but he looks less...puffy than he did in series two. Maybe it's the way he's lit? The makeup? I don't know, but I like it.

From all the set pics that were doing the rounds months ago Ianto looked really hot.

But during the nano-second of man-snogging I thought of you (now who's wrong in the head?) and I thought from what I could see of Ianto's face he did look slightly pie-affected.
I'm hoping it was just a not-very-flattering angle instead.

I prefer them to be thinking of Ianto as 'three' and therefore maybe less of a threat. Under-estimated Ianto is the most dangerous thing on the planet, and may just save his life.

I thought the amount of Ianto in the trailer was just about ok, though I could have done with more obviously. :) Nice to see a clip of him and his sister having a quiet chat in a park.

Gareth effectively said in his BBC Norfolk intreview - the audio one, not the written one - that Ianto "especially" has a lot more to do, so I'm not worried.

Still worried about the death rumour though.

i think the one that is 'dead' is jack - he gets all explodey with the hub... that skinless screaming corpse? yeah that's jack
(is just my opinioon - have no actual knowledge)

Just a little problems with this theory. That scene is from episode two with Ianto and Rhiannon and we know from spoiler pics (with the clapper board information) that Ianto is in episodes three, four and five. So nope, no Ianto dying in episode two. Unless he does an Owen and comes back from the dead...

Kel is right; "one" is most definitely Jack and that lovely 'naked' corpse is Jack. JB did say he gets naked in s3 and can't get more naked than a skinless creature!

Hm. That looks like a desperate 'we're all about to die' kiss. Interesting how last series I wanted to see that but now I take it for a bad omen.

I really like the current GDL.

If Jack is the corpse, it's another variation on his theme - I wish they'd think of something else.

But I am really looking forward to it, honest.

Well, here's a fine picture of Ianto running, which emphasizes his slim hips and trim waist.

I'm hoping RTD's hardon for GDL saves him from death.

I hate that you do this "pie" thing. It's not actually that funny....

Also, I don't read the set reports at all, so for me, I basically have no clue what's going on! I didn't know up until about 2 days ago that his sister was going ot be in it, so that was exciting. And for me, the trailer kicked of major arse.

Also, why on the 'Ianto is going to die!' line? Can we be positive?

[identity profile] dividedloyalty.livejournal.com 2009-02-08 01:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Hehehe. Thank the heavens you've been wrong before :)

I don't think Ianto is going to die. Actually, the rumours were probably started on purpose by the crew to get things going. Seriously. I don't believe anything until I actually watch the series/season/film. Business is business is business and anything goes to work the crowd, specially when you have such a huuuge gap between seasons like TW does.
