Just rewatching some episodes to get some inspiration re. Ianto and what I am now calling his alpha-in-training-ness. Wow. He is the weirdest character, dudes. He's never on screen, he's always physically reserved and he doesn't say much, but when he does he COMMANDS attention, it's way more blatant than I thought it would be.

But anyway, I'm getting a bit distracted, so I'll just post random things in the meantime.

I've been convinced that Jack and Ianto were together since Cyberwomen and Jack's rather melodramatic (overdramatic, I thought, even by JB's standards) "You hid yourself from me!" And then there was that kiss in the pool which ridiculous tender and possessive for a resuscitation and I refuse to believe that Jack will actually *grope* without a come-on first.

Then I came on the Internet and realised that people didn't see it... D: Thankfully there was the stopwatch scene.

Yeah, I've often wondered about all the people who think there was nothing going on between them before that kiss, because I think if that were the case it makes Jack look just a touch sexually threatening. But then a lot of people seem to have fanwanked that he was transferring some of his magic immortal mojo and that's why he did it. I meant to ask that question in my poll.

...in my eyes. The games with stopwatches is not a first-time proposition. A continuance of previous games, I think.

I've always assumed it was a continuation, and Jack's reaction is as surprised as it is because it's the first time Ianto has come onto him SINCE Cyberwoman happened. I find it hard to believe it's a continuation of something that STARTED somehow between Cyberwoman and TKKS.

What if they'd started inbetween Cyberwoman and TKKS, but things had been pretty vanilla up until then, and this is the first time Ianto suggests something kinky?

I'd buy that if I thought they had EVER done anything even remotely vanilla, but I don't think they have. But that's just my filthy mind, probably.

He never, ever has. Ever. Whether it was John or real!Jack or Martha kissing him or Ianto in Fragments or what, Jack has NEVER actually started anything.

Not even in Doctor Who. His dancing with Rose was trading information in a way that looked like they were just talking while dancing. I pulled the same trick to gossip about friends at my high school prom.

I don't understand why more people don't see that. And therefore I don't quite understand why people still don't believe me when I say there was something going on between them all along. Jack/Ianto has ceased making sense to me, I think. Maybe my brain's just died.
