I think Ianto would be wary, but not outright hostile, with the Doctor. Having less to do with his Torchwood One past, he'd need both the Doctor and Jack to convince him that Jack's not about to take off with the Doctor and leave Ianto behind again.

(Personally, I think Ianto would make an excellent Companion. Perhaps RTD needs to make a spinoff of his spinoff.)

That was my opinion as well. Kind like a small puppy who needs to be won over with treats and belly rubs.
